Our world is increasingly unstable. Floods, terror attacks, and other natural disasters now happen pretty regularly, affecting people from all over the world. In Nigeria, most people, especially in rural areas do not have essential tools to help them get back on their feet after these disasters. Things like homeowners insurance, government subsidies and grants, and a working health care system is largely unavailable. Thus, the victims of these natural disasters are in danger of destitution, major diseases, and death.

Recently in Makurdi, over 110,000 people lost everything. These people lost their homes, their businesses, and their belongings. They have been left destitute and are in major danger of disease and death! Immediately after the flood, we were thrilled when we saw people give back to help, it was inspiring and it gave us hope. However, things have gone silent. As cameras stop rolling and the front pages of our National newspapers stop telling the stories of these people, help has dried up but they still need our help.

While LifeBank is in the business of saving lives, we also believe our expertise in discovery, delivery, and distribution can be used to help save people from destitution, disease, and death.

We have created a care box that has essential cleaning, healthcare, and food supplies. Our goal is to distribute these to the people of Makurdi and help them get back on their feet. Right now, we are deploying our expertise to discover the most vulnerable people in these communities by working directly with health systems in the area, we have also built a simple model that will help us deliver and distribute these boxes directly to these communities in the next few months.

LifeBank x Paystack!

Our partnership with Paystack will power the fundraising to make this happen. We are so thrilled to be working with them and they have already shown their commitment to giving back through a donation of 10 boxes.

Our goal is to get 1,000 boxes to Makurdi before Christmas and to do this, we will need your help. Please go to this link and give what you can.

Like our partner Paystack, LifeBank will not make money from this work, our goal is to giveback to our community and show we care.
